Box Score NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Gonzaga women's tennis team concluded their road trip to Nashville this afternoon, earning a comeback victory against Lipscomb University in a nonconference dual match. This was the first matchup in program history between the Bulldogs and Bison.
 
Beginning with the doubles competition, Gonzaga's Brooke Bittner and Caroline Wernli picked up a 6-3 victory against Lipscomb's Anja Trbeznik and Sonia Pieczynska on court three. Lipscomb tied the doubles competition on court one, as Mariia Dolzhenko and Sofiia Paladi defeated Gonzaga's Tiegan Aitken and Kianna Oda by a score of 6-3. In the No.2 spot, Lipscomb's Sasha Dobranos and Rut Galindo clinched the doubles point, defeating Gonzaga's Emily Robertson and Ella Nielsen by a score of 7-6.
 
Moving to the singles matches, Gonzaga tied the competition when Lia Espinal claimed a 6-1, 6-1 court six win over Pieczynska. Lipscomb regained the lead when Dolzhenko claimed a 6-2, 6-4 court four victory against Aitken. In the No.2 spot, Paladi defeated Oda by a score of 6-3, 6-4.
 
Facing a 3-1 deficit, Nielsen clinched a dominant 6-3, 6-4 victory over Galindo on court three. Robertson tied the competition for Gonzaga by winning 6-3, 7-6 on court one against Dobranos. In the No.5 spot, Wernli secured Gonzaga the team victory with a comeback win, defeating Trbenznki by a score of 3-6, 6-2, 6-3.
 
Up Next: Having concluded their road trip with an impressive victory, the Zags will open a five-game home stretch on February 23rd, when they are scheduled to face Montana State at 2 pm. On February 24th, Gonzaga will play a doubleheader against Utah State and Eastern Washington, with matches starting at 10 am and 3 pm, respectively.
