MALIBU, Calif. – Earlier this afternoon, the Gonzaga men's tennis team continued their dual conference schedule by facing Pepperdine.
 
Pepperdine claimed an early lead when the doubles competition started, as Christopher Papa and Zach Stephens earned a 6-2 court three win over Gonzaga's Oscar Rashed and Gus Krauel. Pepperdine clinched the doubles point on court one, as Linus Halldin and George David defeated Gonzaga's Sasha Trkulja and Matthew Hollingworth by a score of 6-3.
 
With the doubles competition already clinched, the court two match between Pepperdine's Tyler Davis and Pietro Fellin and Gonzaga's Leon Roider and Pablo Gomez Galvan went unfinished, ending with a score of 3-4.
 
The Waves expanded their lead when the singles competition began, with Stephens claiming a 6-3, 6-2 victory against Rashed on court five. Shortly after, Halldin earned a 6-2, 6-3 court two win over Hollingworth. In the No.1 spot, Fellin clinched the team victory for Pepperdine, defeating Trkulja by a score of 6-2, 6-3.
 
With the team victory already clinched, the remaining three singles matches went unfinished.
 
Up next: The Gonzaga men's tennis team will return to the Stevens Center for their next match, as they are scheduled to face Saint Mary's on March 29th at 2 pm. The Zags will also host San Francisco on March 30th at 11 am.

Records: The season record for Gonzaga drops to 5-7 with today's loss. For Pepperdine, their record on the year improves to 7-9. The historical record between the Bulldogs and Waves also moves to 1-17.
