SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga men's tennis team continued their spring conference schedule by hosting Saint Mary's earlier this afternoon. Entering the match, the Bulldogs had won three of the previous five matchups against the Gaels, a streak dating back to the 2018 season.
 
In the doubles competition, Saint Mary's grabbed an early lead as Carlos Ramos Membrives and Ellison Greco earned a 6-1 court three win over Gonzaga's Gus Krauel and Oscar Rashed. Gonzaga tied the doubles competition on court two, as Leon Roider and Pablo Gomez Galvan claimed a 6-2 victory against Saint Mary's Mathis Moysan and Thibaud Maxant. In the No.1 spot, Gonzaga clinched the doubles point when Sasha Trkulja and Matthew Hollingworth defeated Saint Mary's Diego Jarry and Paulo Hugo Etchecoin by a score of 6-3.
 
Moving the singles competition, Gonzaga expanded their lead on court one, as Trkulja defeated Membrives by a score of 6-2, 6-2. Minutes later, Hollingworth picked up an impressive 6-4, 6-2 court two win against Jarry. In the No.6 spot, Gonzaga clinched the team victory when Tom Dunlop claimed a 7-5, 6-2 victory over Lieutaud.
 
Up next: Following the victory, the Gonzaga men's tennis team will host San Francisco on Saturday, March 30th at 10 am. The Bulldogs will also play at Loyola Marymount on April 13th and San Diego on April 14th.

Records: The season record for Gonzaga improves to 6-7 with the win. For Saint Mary's, the loss drops their record for the year to 6-8. The historical record between the Bulldogs and Gaels also moves to 6-22.
