2025 Zag Cross Country Concludes at Championships

COLUMBIA, Missouri- Gonzaga Cross Country finished the season at the NCAA National Championships on Saturday, with both competing Zags taking a spot in the top 150 runners in the country.

Logan Hofstee took 94th overall with a time of 19:55.3, while Jessica Frydenlund secured the 148th spot in 20:12.4. Hofstee improved her place in the national championship from last year by over 100 places, while Frydenlund also improved her finish by 18 spots compared to last year. Hofstee and Frydenlund respectively set the third and fifth fastest times in the 6k in program history earlier in the cross country season.

Both runners will look to build on their second straight appearance in the cross country national championship when they begin the indoor track and field season on December 6th in Boston at the Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. The Zags will run in Spokane for the first time on December 13 when they take on the Spokane Invite downtown at The Podium.
