SPOKANE, Wash- Four Gonzaga Baseball alumni will be playing on baseball's biggest international stage, representing three different countries at the World Baseball Classic.Â
 Alek Jacob will be pitching for the Italian national team. A relief pitcher for the Padres, Jacob played for the Zags from 2018 to 2021.
Eli Morgan and Troy Johnston will be playing for Israel at the WBC Classic. Morgan, currently with the Royals, pitched for the Zags in 2016 and 2017. Johnston, who was picked up by the Rockies this offseason, played outfield at GU from 2017 to 2019.
Owen Wild will be pitching for team Great Britain. Wild was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in the 7th round of the 2023 Draft after playing at Gonzaga from 2021 to 2023.
