SPOKANE, Wash.- Gonzaga Track competed in two final Last Chance Meets to close out the regular season, with the Women's Track team competing in San Francisco at the West Coast Last Chance, while the Men's Track team represented in Portland's Stumptown West Coast Twilight.
Ashlinn Aguayo ran a career best time in the 800 meters in San Francisco, with her final time of 2:07.28 placing her 3rd all time in the program record book.
Clare Mullin also put herself in the program record books, running a time of 4:21.36 in the 1500 meters, making her the 5th fastest mark in program history. Maria Taggi Padro and Emma Taggi Padro ran respective times of 4:30.88 and 4:34.33 as the sisters rounded out the GU competition in San Francisco.
Hayden Roberts also ran the respective third fastest 800 meters in program history for the men's team, finishing with a time of 1:50.24 in Portland.
Charlie Goss ran a solid 800 time as well with a 1:51.97 finish.
Mason Kissell ran the seventh fastest 10,000 meters time in program history when he finished in 29:10.08.
Ryan Mitchell moved to eighth in the same program top ten list when he finished in 29:25.21.
Logan Schwartz ran a 3:45.20 in the 1500 meters, while
Logan Law and
Jacob Alfonso finished shortly after with times of 3:47.00 and 3:47.10.
Noah Laughlin-Hall ran a 5,000 meters time of 14:41.00, while
Gus Clevenger and
Will Thorsett ran 10,000 meter times of 29:56.25 and 30:25.19 to finish the night.
Gonzaga Track will hope to send runners to the NCAA West Regional Championship, which will start on May 27 in Fayettville, Arkansas. Individual bids to the NCAA West Regional Tournament will be announced by the NCAA on Thursday, May 21.
