Biography

SENIOR (2018): Started in all 18 games for the Bulldogs…totaled 1,448 minutes on the season…Scored one goal at Oregon State…Assisted on one goal at San Diego…Named Academic All-WCC Honorable Mention.

JUNIOR (2017): Played and started in all 19 games for the Zags… Recorded 6 goals on the season and 3 assists… Took 27 shots and recorded the team’s second highest shot percentage at .222… Made both penalty kicks she attempted this year… Totaled 1,361 minutes for the Zags this year… Earned a position as a co-captain for the 2018 season.

SOPHOMORE (2016): Played and started all 18 games...scored the game winner on only shot in a 1-0 win against Washington State...scored in a 2-1 loss versus Portland...took a career-high four shots at Montana...three were on goal...assisted one goal in a 5-2 win against Portland State...played a season-high 110 minutes at Boise State.

FRESHMAN (2015): appeared in 11 matches … made first collegiate appearance against CSU Bakersfield … played nine minutes in that match … played a season-high 49 minutes in a 3-0 loss at Washington State.
 
HIGH SCHOOL: Best came to Gonzaga following her career at Lakeside High School in Nine Mile Falls, Wash. She scored 91 goals during her high school career. She was named the state's Athlete of the Week and given the WIAA Sportsmanship Award while at Lakeside. Her club team, SSC Shadow, was the state champions in 2013, and she was tabbed a Golazo Best Eleven Player for under-16 girls. Best scored 36 goals in her senior season, and was named the LHS offensive most valuable player. She was First Team All-League in 2013, after scoring 30 goals. She scored 25 goals in her sophomore season. Best accomplished all of those accolades after sitting out her freshman year due to fractures of her tibia and fibula. A standout in the classroom as well, Best was a member of the National Honors Society. She received WIAA scholastic awards, while keeping her GPA above a 3.5. Best was a point guard on Lakeside's basketball team for four seasons, and ran sprints and did the long jump on the track and field team.
