BOISE, Idaho - Junior Drew Ernst advanced to the consolation quarterfinals of the Boise Falls Men's Open on Saturday afternoon, with a defeat over Ryan O'Neil, 4-6, 6-2, 1-0. Ernst made the best showing for the Gonzaga University men's tennis team, but fell in the consolation quarterfinals to Peter Miskovic, 6-2, 6-1.

Three other Bulldogs continued their play into Saturday afternoon as Bryce Cooper, Jesse Goldsmith and Robert Penney all advanced to the second round of consolation play. Cooper was defeated by Lukaz Mazur (6-0, 6-1), Goldsmith was defeated by Brad Changstrom (6-3, 6-2), and Penney was defeated by Nick Tyree (6-2, 6-3).

Gonzaga will not compete in Sunday's final day of the tournament, but look towards hosting the Gonzaga Bulldog Tennis Classic on Oct. 3-5.
