Tucson, Ariz. - - The Gonzaga University men's tennis team continued a three-match road trip Friday, dropping a 7-0 decision to the University of Arizona in Tucson, Arizona.
The loss evens the Zags record to 2-2 for the spring, while the Wildcats open the season with a 1-0 record.
In singles play, Roman Dojcak fell in straight sets, 6-3, 6-1, to Claudio Christen at No. 1. At No. 2, Stefan Feddersen dropped a 6-0, 6-1 decision to Jay Goldman. Gonzaga's Cooper Fratt, playing at the No. 3 position, fell 6-0, 6-2, to the Wildcats' Andres Carrasco. Playing No. 5, Zack Radetzky fell after jumping out to an early start, 4-5, 6-2, 11-9 to Bruno Acala. Conor Feeney fell at No. 5, 6-4, 6-1 to Pat Metham, while Charles Adams dropped at 6-0, 6-0 decision to Ravid Hazi at No. 6
In doubles play, Arizona jumped out to a 1-0 advantage by sweeping all three positions.
The Zags will wrap-up the road trip Sunday when they play nationally-ranked Arizona State University in Tempe, Ariz. The match against the No. 46 Sun Devils is schedule to begin at 9 a.m
