COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. - Freshman Tomasz Falkowski's win at number six singles in the final match of the day gave the Gonzaga University men's tennis team a 4-3 win over Air Force Sunday afternoon.

After dropping the doubles point and then the first two singles matches, the Bulldogs battled back to win the final four matches of the day and improve their record to 3-1 on the season. The Zags' final four matches were won by three freshmen and one sophomore including the clincher by Falkowski.

"It was a very exciting day," said head coach Peter MacDonald. "We lost some tough matches early in the day but we hung tough and our young guys stepped up to get us the win today over a solid Air Force team."

Gonzaga heads to Portland, Ore. next weekend for matchups against the University of Portland on Friday, Portland State University on Saturday and the University of Northern Colorado Sunday.
