SPOKANE, Wash. - Gonzaga University used wins from its top two singles players to claim a 4-3 non-conference men's tennis victory over Eastern Washington University at the Spokane Racquet Club Sunday evening.

The Zags (2-2) were able to grind out a couple of hard fought singles match victories along with earning the doubles point by taking two of the three doubles slates two win for the second time in their past three matches. Conor Feeney and Kevin Eischen paired up to post an 8-5 win at No. 1 doubles before the tandom of Roman Dojcak and Scott Sullivan clinched the match's first point with an 8-5 win of their own at No. 2 doubles.

Gonzaga and EWU each put together six well played matches in the singles draws. Levin Guillermo got things going with a 6-3, 6-1 win at No. 1 singles and Feeney followed with a 6-3, 6-2 win at No. 2 singles. All four of the remaining singles matches required four sets with Eischen coming from behind to claim a 2-6, 6-2, 6-1 win and clinch the match for the Bulldogs.

The Zags head to Portland, Ore. for three matches this weekend, facing the University of Portland Friday, University of Oregon in Eugene Saturday and University of Montana in Portland Sunday.
