ITA Awards
TEMPE, Ariz. — The Gonzaga men's tennis team earned the Intercollegiate Tennis Association's Community Service Award for the Northwest Region, ITA officials announced Monday.
The GU men put in 191.5 hours of community outreach during the year at seven different agencies, also serving at events, making visits, helping feed the homeless and doing other work in the community.
"We are all extremely proud of the team's engagement in our community," men's head coach
Jonas Piibor said. "The student-athletes are truly committed to make a difference and that is an admirable trait that they possess, one we value deeply here at Gonzaga. They have certainly earned this award."
