SPOKANE, Wash. --  The Gonzaga men's tennis team continued to shine at the ITA North Regional tournament. The Zags now have four players in the Quarterfinals, which is tied with last season for the most since the 2012 fall season.
 
Gonzaga's Oliver Andersson and Leon Roider opened up Main Draw doubles competition with a dominant victory, as they defeated Portland State's Andrin Zuellig and Gregory Grunig 8-2.
 
In one of the most competitive doubles matches of the tournament, Gonzaga's Pablo Gomez Galvan and Arthus de la Bassetiere battled, but dropped their Round of 16 doubles match against Portland's Fabian Gusic and Cade Fernando by a score of 8-7.
 
Transitioning to the singles competition, Gomez Galvan earned a 6-4, 7-6 victory over Soohoo in his Consolation Round of 16 match. 

Four Zags advanced to the Main Draw Quarterfinals after winning their Round of 16 singles matches. In his match against Portland State University's Jan Semerak, Gonzaga's Matthew Hollingworth advanced to the Quarterfinals with a 6-1, 6-1 victory. Shortly after, Andersson earned a dominant 6-2, 6-2 victory against Oregon's Luke Vandecasteele.
 
In the final two Main Draw singles matches of the day, both Zags advanced to the Quarterfinals with wins in straight sets. For Gonzaga's Tom Hann, he continued to build on his excellent fall tournament season with a 6-3, 6-3 win over Portland's Nicolas Ocana. In the final match of the day for the Zags, Roider clinched a 6-4, 6-4 victory over Oregon's Ray Lo.

For the Gonzaga men's tennis team, Andersson and Roider will face University of Oregon's Avi Shugar and Russell Soohoo in the Quarterfinals of the Main Draw doubles competition. For Gomez Galvan and Bassetiere, the pair will face Eastern Washington's Steven Paz and Bruno Ortega tomorrow in the Consolation doubles competition.
 
Hollingworth, Andersson, Hann, and Roider will also continue their journey through the Main Draw of the singles competition, as they start action in the Quarterfinals tomorrow. Finally, in Consolation singles competition, Gomez Galvan will face Washington's Jacob Sleight tomorrow as he tries to advance past the Consolation Quarterfinals.
