PRINCETON, N.J./LAKE WASHINGTON, Wash. – The men's rowing team concluded the fall season at two different regattas this morning. The 1V8 boat competed at the Princeton Chase while the 2V8, 3V8 and NV8, competed at the Head of the Lake.
At the Princeton Chase, the Zags finished 21
st out of 41 boats with a time of 14:22.220 in their morning race. Syracuse placed first with a finishing time of 12:49.826. In the afternoon race, the Bulldogs took 11
th with a time of 14:02.707 out of 22 boats. Wisconsin took first, finishing in 13:19.681.
"It was a good experience for the guys," head coach
Dan Gehn said. "They raced hard in both races and got a chance to see some crews that we don't often go up against."
Across the country at the Head of the Lake, Gonzaga finished fifth in the Men's Collegiate JV 8+ with a time of 17:31.705. Washington took first with a time of 15:36.648.
In the 3V8 race, Gonzaga's 'B' boat finished eighth with a time of 19:38.896. Washington took the title with a finishing time of 15:50.32. The 'A' boat for GU did not start the competition.
