MTEN: Zags Ranked Program-Best 46th in ITA Rankings

The previous highest team ranking was 62nd in 2021

The first computer ITA Division I rankings of the season became live today, Feb. 23, and the Gonzaga men's tennis team is 46th in the country. The ranking is the best in program history as the Zags have started out the season at 6-1 overall.

Previously, the highest ranking for the team was 62nd on March 26, 2021. The Bulldogs were also ranked 62nd on Feb. 19, 2020.

"This is a nice testament to the hard work and dedication that the guys have had this season, but for us this is just a starting point and our ceiling is definitely higher," head coach D.J. Gurule said. "I am proud of this group and I believe in them. They are just beginning to see their potential. We definitely have more work to do."

The team travels to San Diego State on Saturday, Feb. 26. The match is set to begin at 11 a.m. Gonzaga will be on the road until March 18, when the Zags return to Stevens Center to take on the University of Montana.
