The Zags will play their first game in the WCC tournament at 2pm on Thursday against the winner of Pepperdine vs Saint Mary's.
ZAGS LOOK TO WIN TOURNAMENT TITLE
-Gonzaga won the WCC Regular Season Title with a 22-5 record, the most WCC conference wins in GU history
-The Zags had the largest WCC regular season margin of victory in 34 years with a six and a half game lead over second place Pacific
-GU has now won the WCC regular season title 7 times (2026, '22, '21, '17, '16, '13, '09) and the WCC tournament title twice (2018, '09)
- The Zags swept Saint Mary's and San Francisco in the regular season and beat Pacific and Pepperdine twice, giving them series wins over every other team still in the tournament field.
-Gonzaga had seven more WCC wins than every other team in the conference, the largest WCC winning margin since Pepperdine in 1992

Mark Machtolf was named the WCC Coach of the Year, his sixth time winning the award. He has more than double the career WCC wins of every other coach in the conference.

Mikey Bell repeated as the WCC Player of the Year for the second year in a row after hitting .430 with 87 total bases in WCC games
-Bell is one of only three players to ever go back to back as WCC Player of the Year (James Meador-2009/10, Duane Larson-1970/71)

Karsten Sweum is the WCC Pitcher of the Year, throwing the lowest ERA in WCC play (2.62) while striking out 80 batters in 55 IP
- Sweum's .198 BAA made him the only WCC pitcher below .215

Landon Hood was named the WCC Freshman of the Year after closing out five saves. The former Arizona Gatorade High School Player of the Year struck out 35 batters in 24.2 innings in the WCC
