Biography

Gonzaga University- Graduated in 2012 as the #3 800 meter runner, #4 indoor miler and #8 outdoor 1500 meter runner in Gonzaga school history. In 2010, as a sophomore, he was one of the Zags best runners on the track. To begin the 2010 year he set the then school record in the Indoor Mile at the UW Last Chance Qualifier with a time of 4:21.03…it is currently the 4th fastest time in program history. Outdoors, he had one of the best seasons in Gonzaga history up to that point. He ran the #2 fastest 800m with a 1:54.10 at the Duane Hartman Invitational held at Spokane Falls Community College and ran the #3 fastest 1500m with 3:56.95 at the Oregon Relays in Eugene, OR. Due to injuries, he was only able to compete as a freshman and sophomore. In cross country he ran his 8k XC PR at the 2009 Inland Northwest Cross Country Challenge held in Moscow, ID where he ran 26:24.

High School- Attended Jesuit High School in Portland, OR… Earned three letters in cross country, four in track at Jesuit High for coach Tom Rothenberger...personal best 16:38 for 5K in cross country…found success on the track in the middle distances where he primarily ran the 800 and 1500 meters running 1:57.45 for 800 meters as a senior and 4:05.98 for 1500 meters as a junior, as a senior his 4x400 team placed 7th at the 6A OSAA State Track and Field Championships with a time of 3:21.60 where he split 51.5….named most outstanding track athlete as a senior…personal bests of 51.64 (400), 1:57.45 (800) and 4:05.98 (1500)
