SPOKANE, Wash. — Gonzaga's
Matthew Perkins won his draw of the Gonzaga Invitational to lead the way on Sunday at the Gonzaga Invitational at the Stevens Center.
Perkins' win in the White Draw came over teammate
Bryan Husin as each had won three matches over the past two days to face off in the final. Perkins took the victory in straight sets, 6-4, 6-2.
Also on the day,
Kyle Everly came from behind to win his match and
Brandon Park cruised to a straight-set victory. After going down 6-1 in the first set to Kyle Pease of Northern Colorado, Everly battled to a 7-5 second set win and then won the third-set super-tiebreaker 10-5. Park was solid throughout his match on the way to a 6-2, 6-4 win over Nej Sitar of Montana State.
Gonzaga also wrapped up play with a group of four players at the Gopher Invitational in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
Sam Feit,
Oliver Andersson and
Eric Hadigian each collected singles wins on the Sunday.
Feit defeated Marquette's Luke Smrek in straight sets 6-2, 6-2, Hadigian took down DePaul's Boris Spanjaard 6-3, 6-0, and Anderson earned a straight-set win over DePaul's Christopher Casati 6-1, 6-4. The win for Hadigian was his fourth of the weekend in singles.
The tournament wraps the fall tournament season for Gonzaga. The Zags will be back on the court in the dual match season in January.
