TULSA, Okla. --  Gonzaga's Sasha Trkulja and Matthew Hollingworth continued their participation in the ITA All-Americans earlier today, with the pair finding success in the doubles competition. With yesterday's success, the pair now ranks second in program history for career doubles wins and tournament doubles wins by a pair.

Today's action opened with Trkulja competing in the singles competition of the Qualifying Main Draw. In his match against Florida's Aleksander Orlikowski, Trkulja battled, but lost by a score of 6-3, 6-2. Orlikowski had a top-twenty ITF Juniors Ranking before joining Florida last season. For Trkulja, his success in the Qualifying Main Draw ties his career-best, as he also advanced to the Round of 64 during the 2021-22 season.

Moving to the doubles competition of the Main Draw, Trkulja and Hollingworth swiftly advanced to the Quarterfinals, defeating East Tennessee State's Dimitri Badra and Francisco Lamas 6-3, 6-3 in straight sets. Badra entered the match as a consecutive two-time SoCon Player of the Year, holding a career doubles record of 39-17.

With the victory, Hollingworth and Trkulja become the first pair in Gonzaga men's tennis history to advance to the Quarterfinals of the ITA All-Americans.

Following today's success in the doubles competition, Trkulja and Hollingworth are scheduled to face Columbia's Nicolas Kotzen and Max Westphal tomorrow.
