TULSA, Okla. -- Earlier this afternoon, the Gonzaga men's tennis team completed their performance at the ITA All-Americans. This was the second of six total tournaments the Zags are scheduled to participate in this fall.
In the doubles competition, Gonzaga's
Sasha Trkulja and
Matthew Hollingworth competed against Columbia's Nicolas Kotzen and Max Westphal in the Quarterfinals of the Qualifying Main Draw. Trkulja and Hollingworth battled, but fell to Kotzen and Westphal by a score of 6-2, 6-1. Both Kotzen and Westphal were top-thirty tennis recruits before joining Columbia.
Despite today's loss, Trkulja and Hollingworth made program history this week, being the first doubles pair from Gonzaga to advance to the Quarterfinals at the ITA All-Americans. They will play in the consolation round tomorrow at 11:30 a.m.

Looking forward, the Zags will return to the court on October 5, when they are scheduled to participate in the ITA North Regionals in Seattle, Washington.
