SPOKANE, Wash. – The Gonzaga women's rowing team heads to the West Coast Conference Championships to defend their title this Saturday, May 13. The race takes place on Lake Natoma in Sacramento, Calif.
The Zags have historically been dominant at the championships, winning the last seven championships and 20 in program history. The team was picked to finish first in the conference in the preseason coaches polls as well.
The Second Varsity 4 kicks the competition off at 8:40 a.m. The Varsity 4 crew will then race at 9 a.m., followed by the Second Varsity 8 at 9:20 a.m. The Varsity 8 boat finishes off the day with their race beginning at 9:40 a.m.
