Box Score SAN DIEGO, Calif. – This afternoon, the Gonzaga men's tennis team played #15 San Diego in a conference dual match. The Zags will celebrate Senior Day next Sunday, April 21st, when they are scheduled to host Santa Clara at 10 am.
 
Starting with the doubles competition, San Diego picked up an early victory when Stian Klaassen and Oliver Tarvet earned a 6-2 court one win against Gonzaga's Matthew Hollingworth and Sasha Trkulja. In the No.3 spot, San Diego's Nikhil Niranjan and Sacchitt Sharrm clinched the doubles point by claiming a 6-3 victory over Gonzaga's Oliver Andersson and Gus Krauel.
 
With the doubles point already clinched, the court two match between Gonzaga's Pablo Gomez Galvan and Leon Roider and San Diego's Savriyan Danilov and Lambert Ruland went unfinished, ending with a score of 4-4.
 
In the singles competition, San Diego increased their lead when Danilov earned a 6-0, 6-1 court three win over Roider. Shortly after, Sharrma defeated Rashed on court five, winning by a score of 6-3, 6-4. In the No.6 spot, San Diego clinched the team victory as Neo Niedner claimed a 6-1, 6-3 victory against Gonzaga's Tom Dunlop.
 
As San Diego had already clinched the team victory, all other singles matches were left unfinished.
 
Up next: The Gonzaga men's tennis team will return to the Stevens Center next weekend, as they are scheduled to host Pacific on April 19th at 10 am. The Bulldogs will conclude their regular season on April 21st, when they are scheduled to play Santa Clara at 10 am.
