Men's Tennis Defeats Fresno State, 4-2

Gonzaga earned the doubles point and three singles wins

Box Score FRESNO, Calif. -- Gonzaga men's tennis earned a strong road victory over Fresno State, 4-2, on Wednesday afternoon in Fresno, Calif. 

GU (10-4) won the doubles point to open the match and then took three of five singles matches to finish to beat Fresno State (8-7) on their home courts. 

In doubles, Gonzaga took wins at Nos. 1 and 2 to clinch the doubles point. On No. 1, the combination of Sam Feit and Matthew Hollingworth earned a 6-4 win, while on No. 2 Oliver Andersson and Brandon Park rolled to a 6-3 win. 

In singles, the Zags and FSU battled back and forth with Andersson earning the clinching victory in 7-6, 7-6. Both Hollingworth and Vincent Rettke also came through in the clutch in tight matches. Hollingworth earned a three-set victory, 6-4, 2-6, 6-4, while Rettke won by a break in each of his sets 7-5, 6-4. 

Eric Hadigian also led his match on No. 5 when it went unfinished, 3-6. 6-1, 5-4.
