Zags Set Academic Records for Spring 2017 Dept. record 158 student-athletes recognized on President's or Dean's List May 25, 2017 SPOKANE, Wash. -- Gonzaga student-athletes earned an athletic department record 158 academic honors with the release of the GU President's and Dean's List for the Spring 2017 semester. The Zags posted a departmental-record cumulative grade-point average of 3.42 for the semester, beating out the previous 3.38 record set in the fall. A record 18 Bulldogs finished with perfect 4.0 GPAs. The women's track and field team had the highest team GPA ever in the department, a 3.71, beating out the 2015 women's tennis team's 3.70. Three programs also posted semester-record GPAs in their team history, including volleyball, men's rowing and men's soccer. Of the 158 honored by the University, 55 were named to the President's List (3.85-4.0) and 103 were named to the Dean's List (3.50-3.84).
